Lead Pastor

Hi, I’m Freddy and I have the absolute privilege of leading the church family here at Vineyard Church of Marysville.

My wife, Denise, and I transitioned from Idaho to Ohio in May of 2023, and we have been deeply moved by the warmth and community we’ve found here. She has been my greatest partner in this calling, and together we’ve seen our lives marked by growth, both in our ministry and in our home. Having arrived in Marysville with two young children, we have now grown to be a family of six. It has been a journey that has had its challenges but certainly filled with immense beauty and joy.

I am eternally grateful to serve a congregation that values the beautiful marriage of holding The Word and The Spirit hand-in-hand. Our church is a vibrant, life-giving family, and we would be honored to have you join us. I am a firm believer that every person has a unique story worth telling, and I would welcome the opportunity to hear yours over a cup of coffee.

Jim McFarlane

Hello, I’m Jim McFarlane. My wife Sharon and I have been members of the Vineyard Church of Marysville since the very beginning. I’m privileged to have served as Elder nearly as long. I love the small, intimate feel of our church family; just regular folks doing our best to lead a Christ-centered life and inviting others into the journey. I hold advanced degrees in Agricultural Sciences and am self-employed in the world of E-commerce. I love reading biographies about our founding fathers and other early American leaders.

Debbie Case

Elder

Hi my name is Debbie. I have an immense passion to serve God and His children. I have lived in Marysville most of my life. I have 2 children, Jeff Case (deceased in 2013) & a daughter, Jennifer Wing. I have 3 grandchildren Emma (18) Owen (16), and Liam (12) who keep me very busy. I love to garden and do crafts, especially crocheting. An interesting fact about me is I have a secret recipe for chocolate chip cookies plus I bake the communion bread for our church services.

I have been serving as the Church Administrator for almost two years, and it has truly been a blessing to be part of the VCM family. I couldn’t ask for a better work environment; being surrounded by godly and wonderful people each day is a gift from God. I love being able to support the day-to-day work of the church and help create a welcoming environment for our congregation and community. Outside of the church, I love spending time with my husband and three sons. An interesting fact about me is that I enjoy baking!

Harla Lawson

Youth Leader (Middle School & High School)

I have been involved in children’s and youth ministry for over forty years. 20+ of those years have been spent here at the Vineyard Church of Marysville where I currently lead the high school and middle school youth ministry. What a blessing this church has been to me! After retiring from the Delaware County District Library in 2022, I found that I have a passion for volunteering and serving in the community. It has been a time full of challenges, opportunities, and blessings. 

Jessica Wachs

Kingdom Kids (Children's Ministry Leader)

Hello, My name is Jessica Wachs and I’m the ministry leader for Kingdom Kids. It is a privilege to serve the kids and families in our church. I am a wife and a mother of 4 children. Before I found Jesus, I was lost and broken.  Jesus saved me and I am so grateful. My childhood was a struggle. I saw a lot of addiction and abuse growing up. It was tough but it gave me compassion for children and adults who are hurting. It is my desire to help children and their families grow closer to the Lord. A true relationship with Jesus brings healing to those who seek Him. What I love most about Vineyard is the friendships I have made here that have led me closer to the Lord.

David Dodds

Worship & Young Adults Ministries Leader

Hi, I am David and I serve as our Worship and Young Adults Ministry Leader at Vineyard Church of Marysville, where I am dedicated to being led by the Holy Spirit in every area of my teaching and leadership. I have a deep passion for seeking truth through Christian Apologetics, helping young adults navigate their faith with both heart and mind. I believe that authentic worship and a solid biblical foundation are key to a thriving spiritual life. At home, I am a devoted husband to my wife, Stephanie, and a proud step-dad to Jacob. Together as a family, we love serving the church and enjoying life’s adventures.

Joanne Seitz

Bookkeeper

My name is Joanne Seitz, part-time bookkeeper. I have 3 children and 4 granddaughters. I’m retired from the State of Ohio. As the bookkeeper I enter deposits and pay bills. I also do payroll. I love helping people and feeling like I’m contributing. The Vineyard and everyone there have been great to work with.

Hi, my name is Wilma Miller. I have been the custodian for Vineyard Church for many years.  I own my own cleaning business. I have a daughter & 3 grandchildren. I like to do gardening and crafts.
