Beginnings

Vineyard Marysville begin in 2000 with a small group of ten people.

Our hope was to plant a church that people could connect with even if they thought they would never fit in a church. We wanted to make church meaningful and impactful to the ordinary person. Our belief was and is that Jesus loves people and meets them wherever they find themselves in their faith journey.

We were a small group based church from the start. We grew and birthed a couple more groups. At that time we started doing a once-a-month gathering called “A Taste of Vineyard” to help build connections among the various groups.

A few months later, we transitioned to regular Sunday morning service, meeting at Mill Valley Elementary school. In early 2003 we purchased our current building. Our first service there was Palm Sunday of 2003.

We have worked hard to make the message of Jesus accessible to all by being a contemporary church avoiding religious hype and jargon. The message is simple:

Jesus loves you and wants to bring you life that is meaningful and transformative.
