We wanted to provide the recipe that Debbie uses when making communion bread for our Vineyard church services. Since we are having communion again for our online Easter service, we thought we would provide this for our people.

Communion Bread

2 cups of sifted flour
1/2 tsp of salt
2 TBSP sugar
1 small egg slightly beaten
4-5 TBSP of milk 5 TBSP butter

Mix dry ingredients. Add liquid. (I actually melt my butter). Chill for several hours. Roll out “paper thin”. Cut into squares and place on baking sheet pan. Bake at 400 degrees for approx. 8 minutes or until lightly browned. Then I pray for the people who will partake of the remembrance of Christ’s broken body.

Jesus said, “I am the bread of life.” John 6:35
