Meet our staff

Steve Wood

Senior Pastor
E-mail Steve Wood

Steve was born and raised in the Marysville area by parents who were an active and vital part of their home church. He asked Jesus into his heart at 11 years old. Within a couple of years he became increasingly aware of the call of God on his life to and preached his first sermon at 13 years old.

In the fall of 1980 Steve, his wife Colleen and their young daughter moved to Circleville Ohio where he pursued a bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry at Circleville Bible College. Following graduation he pastored for two years near Oxford Ohio before returning to the Marysville area. He then attended Ashland Theological Seminary where he earned a master’s degree in Pastoral Psychology & Counseling. During this time he was pastoring his home church in Milford Center. He pastored there for 12 years and had an active marriage-counseling ministry as a part of his pastoral role. Following that pastorate, Steve attended the Columbus Vineyard for three years and under the Lord’s leading planted the Vineyard Church of Marysville.

The church was started with a core of approximately 12 people in September 2000. Steve’s desire is to see God build a strong and vibrant church where people encounter God in life-changing ways. He particularly has a strong passion to see marriages and families thrive and function as God intended. Steve and his wife Colleen currently live in Marysville.

Conrad Esh

Associate Pastor (Vision, Outreach & Missions)
E-mail Conrad Esh

Conrad grew up in eastern Pennsylvania, consistently cheering for all Philadelphia sports teams and the Penn State Nittany Lions. At the age of 15, he gave his life to Jesus Christ, receiving him as Savior, Lord, and Friend. Upon graduation from high school, Conrad spent a couple years in Hong Kong, participating in YES (Youth Evangelism Service). It was during a time of fasting and prayer as a young adult in Asia that he first sensed a clear call from God to pastor. Even though he questioned whether or not he was “too weird to be a pastor”, he began following the Lord by faith down this trail.

Conrad has now been involved in church planting and pastoring for 20 years. Along with his wife Vicki, he participated in a church planting team to begin a non-denominational church in the city of Reading, PA. Also, more recently, he helped start Crossway Vineyard Church in the town of Urbana, OH, where Conrad served as the founding pastor for approximately 10 years.

Conrad loves his family! He has been happily married to his wife Vicki for 20 years. They have twin daughters, Bryn and Lydia, who are juniors in Marysville High School. Their youngest daughter, Ellie, is in the sixth grade at Creekview Intermediate School. The Eshes are living in downtown Marysville and loving where God has placed them!

Vicki Esh

Associate Pastor (Sunday Worship & Hospitality)
E-mail Vicki Esh

Vicki Esh grew up in a small town in the “Thumb” of Michigan where winters are long and cold!  Upon graduation from high school, she left the Great Lakes State and moved to Ohio to begin her college career.  Within a few hours of her first day on campus, she met Conrad who later became her husband, and life has never been the same!

Vicki received her Bachelor’s degree in Leadership and Ministry from Ohio Christian University, and her Master’s degree in Ministry with a concentration in Intercultural Studies from Hope International University.  She is passionate about human rights, social justice, and seeing women rise up as leaders in the global church.

Vicki has been married to Conrad for almost 20 years, and together they are raising their 3 daughters in their adopted home of Marysville, Ohio.  Vicki loves dark chocolate, strong coffee, long chats with friends, and Michigan football.  When no one is looking, she kisses her Goldendoodle, Junia.
